High School Youth Group

The St. Vincent de Paul youth group meets every Wednesday.

Steubenville Youth Conference

Steubenville is a high energy youth conference in which thousands of teens are invited to encounter Jesus Christ through dynamic speakers, engaging music, the Sacraments, small group discussions, and fellowship with other teens. The conferences are an outreach of Franciscan University in partnership with the St. Louis Archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry.

The Steubenville Mid-America Youth Conference includes a van trip to and from Springfield, Missouri, two nights of lodging at Missouri State University, two t-shirts, daily programming, Adoration, Mass with the Archbishop, the opportunity for Reconciliation, as well as meals beginning with Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Fundraising opportunities for the youth are available throughout the year.

The trip will be chaperoned by St. Vincent Youth Ministry adult leaders and Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Emily Hager.

 

March for Life in Washington D.C.

The March for Life is an annual rally and march protesting both the practice and legality of abortion, held in Washington, D.C., on or around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a decision issued in 1973 by the United States Supreme Court legalizing abortion nationwide.

Students from SVHS travel to Washington, D.C., to march, along with others from around the country each year. Contact Emily Hager for more details

St. Vincent Luke 18 Retreat

Luke 18 is a retreat led by St. Vincent Youth Ministry with the assistance of the High School Leadership Team. The goal of this retreat is to introduce 7th-, 8th- and 9th-grade teens to a personal relationship with God through prayer, personal witness and testimony, praise and worship, and community. The next event will be held DATE TO DATE.

Retreat activities will take place on St. Vincent Parish campus and participants will stay overnight in St. Vincent High School supervised by adult volunteers. The event costs $45 for high school leaders (10th-, 11th- and 12th-graders) and $60 for “Lukers” (7th-, 8th- and 9th-graders). This includes on-site meals, supplies and a retreat t-shirt. Families of retreat volunteers are invited to the closing prayer service at St. Vincent Church on Sunday at 11:00 am. Checks should be made payable to St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
