Protecting God’s Children
Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program
The Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program requires all adult employees and volunteers who work with or near minors and/or vulnerable adults to comply with the following policy requirements:
- Attend a Protecting God’s Children live workshop and complete online updates every three years
- Understand and sign the Archdiocese’s Code of Ethical Conduct for Clergy, Employees, and Volunteers working in ministry
- View two online training modules regarding abuse reporting and relevant topics from the Code of Ethical Conduct
- Complete a national criminal record check and agree to regular updates.
To register, go to preventandprotectstl.org and click “register.” Enter the passcode stlprotect when prompted. Follow the prompts and continue.
When all compliance has been completed, your account will be approved and you will be clear to work with minors and vulnerable adults. Should you need any assistance, please contact ocyp@archstl.org.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Emily Hosey at 573-547-4300 ext.102
In addition to contacting civil authorities, victims of sexual abuse are asked to come forward in order to receive pastoral assistance. Reports of abuse may be made to a pastor or to:
